The Fourth Joyful Mystery- The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple

Forty days after the birth of Jesus, Joseph and Mary took Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem to offer Him to God. They offered a pair of young pigeons as a sacrifice to God. In the Temple they met an old man, Simeon. God had promised him that he would not die before he saw the Messiah. Simeon took Jesus in his arms and prayed “You may take me out of this world my God for I have seen the Messiah.”

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the Temple.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Jesus, I offer myself to You.
Hail Mary……

Simeon recognized Jesus as God.
Hail Mary……

Simeon held Jesus and praised God for this great Gift.
Hail Mary……

Jesus, I too will hold You in my heart.
Hail Mary……

Mary, you received word from Simeon of future sorrows.
Hail Mary……

Mary, you accepted the sorrows as God’s plan for you
Hail Mary……

Jesus, help me to be holy and carry my crosses.
Hail Mary……

Jesus, thank You for coming to save me.
Hail Mary……

Jesus, I adore You for You are God!
Hail Mary……

Glory Be To The Father

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen.
