The Glorious Mysteries tell us what happened after Jesus died. Everything that Jesus said would happen did indeed happen. We see the Glory of God!
In the First Glorious Mystery we journey to Jesus' tomb where he was buried after dying on the Cross. On Easter Sunday, his friends found that the tomb was empty. Jesus had risen from the dead as He said He would. Jesus came to them and showed them he was indeed alive and promised them that they would rise too.
In the Second Glorious Mystery, we watch Jesus Ascending up into heaven. Before leaving, He promised his friends that he would prepare a place for them there.
The Third Glorious Mystery tells us about the descent of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent from heaven to lead people in this life and into the next life.
The Fourth Glorious Mystery is about Mary. Jesus loved her so much that he brought her to heaven immediately after she died. We say that Mary was assumed, taken up to heaven, so that she could be with her Son.
In the Fifth Glorious Mystery pictures Mary being crowned by Jesus as Queen of the Angels and Saints in heaven.
These Glorious Mysteries remind us that Jesus has a place in Heaven for us. He sends us the Holy Spirit who will lead us there. Our lives don't end in death, in a grave. God gives us a new life that never ends and that life is more beautiful than we can ever imagine.

The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery -The Crucifixion
For three hours our dear Lord hung on the cross. He was taking on Himself the punishment for our sins. He prayed to His Father in heaven, "Father, forgive them." He forgave the terrible sinner who became the Good Thief. He gave us His own dear Mother. He cried out because He was thirsty for our love. At length, He knew that God had forgiven our sins. Once more, we had the right to enter heaven. So He dropped His head and died. "Greater love than this no man hath than to lay down his life for his friends." Father, by the merits of the crucifixion and death of Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
The hands and feet of Jesus are nailed to the cross.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
Hail Mary...
While he was on the cross, Jesus said, "This day you will be with Me in paradise."
Hail Mary...
Jesus said, "Woman, behold your Son. Son, behold your Mother."
Hail Mary...
Jesus said, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
Hail Mary...
Jesus said, "I thirst."
Hail Mary...
Jesus said, "It is finished."
Hail Mary...
Jesus said, "Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit."
Hail Mary...
The side of Jesus is pierced with a lance.
Hail Mary...
At last, His work is perfectly done, He gives a cry, bows his head, and dies.
Hail Mary...
Glory Be To The Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.
