The First Glorious Mystery- The Resurrection

The body of Jesus was placed in the tomb on the evening of Good Friday. His soul descended into the realm of the dead to announce to the Just the tidings of their redemption. Fearing the body of Jesus will be taken, the chief priests place guards at the tomb.

On the third day Jesus rose from the dead, glorious and immortal. The earth quakes as the angel rolls back the stone and the guards flee in terror.

The holy women went to anoint the body of Jesus and are amazed and frightened to find the tomb open. Jesus is not there! An angel calmed their fears: "He is not here. He has risen as He said."

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name: Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread: and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation: but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The body of Jesus is placed in the tomb on the evening of Good Friday.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.Amen

Everyone is so sad.
Hail Mary…

Afraid that someone might come into the tomb, there are soldiers placed to guard the entrance. Hail Mary …

On the third day, Sunday, Jesus rises from the dead.
Hail Mary …

The earth quakes as the angel rolls back the stone, the guards ran away.
Hail Mary …

The women coming to anoint the body of Jesus are amazed to find the tomb open.
Hail Mary …

An angel says to them, "He is not here but has risen."
Hail Mary …

Jesus appears to Mary Magdalen and Peter and two disciples on the way to Emmaus.
Hail Mary …

That evening He appears to the apostles behind locked doors. He says to them, "Peace be with you."
Hail Mary …

Jesus gives them the power to forgive sin.
Hail Mary…

Glory Be To The Father

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen.

The Glorious Mysteries

The Glorious Mysteries tell us what happened after Jesus died. Everything that Jesus said would happen did indeed happen. We see the Glory of God!

In the First Glorious Mystery we journey to Jesus' tomb where he was buried after dying on the Cross. On Easter Sunday, his friends found that the tomb was empty. Jesus had risen from the dead as He said He would. Jesus came to them and showed them he was indeed alive and promised them that they would rise too.

In the Second Glorious Mystery, we watch Jesus Ascending up into heaven. Before leaving, He promised his friends that he would prepare a place for them there.

The Third Glorious Mystery tells us about the descent of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent from heaven to lead people in this life and into the next life.

The Fourth Glorious Mystery is about Mary. Jesus loved her so much that he brought her to heaven immediately after she died. We say that Mary was assumed, taken up to heaven, so that she could be with her Son.

In the Fifth Glorious Mystery pictures Mary being crowned by Jesus as Queen of the Angels and Saints in heaven.

These Glorious Mysteries remind us that Jesus has a place in Heaven for us. He sends us the Holy Spirit who will lead us there. Our lives don't end in death, in a grave. God gives us a new life that never ends and that life is more beautiful than we can ever imagine.
